Raised in a family of entrepreneurs — Leilani has a “natural” understanding of business and the inherent challenges of “people issues”. Leilani has been consulting with and providing training to business leaders and managers since 1978. In 1986, she founded The Resource Connection to be a resource for handling “people performance” issues.
Solving people performance issues — as team builder, developer of managers and leaders, connector of resources and provider of learning tools is the core mission of The Resource Connection. Over the years, Leilani has worked within a wide variety of industries representing small and medium entrepreneurial business as well as large corporations.
Her consulting approach is based on asking leaders and managers probing questions and really listening to the answers. She assists the client to clearly define the issue/problem, identify the strengths of the organization and inventory the available problem-solving resources within the organization. Leilani synthesizes this information and provides options, resources and recommendations. Then in a working partnership, Leilani provides as much consultation, support and resources as requested to successfully implement the solution-strategies.
Leilani is a talented speaker, trainer and developer of training materials. All of her many training programs are designed to help business people become more “efficient with tasks and more effective with people.” Whether as a consultant, coach, or trainer, it is always her desire to establish and maintain long-term enduring relationships with clients that allow her to invest in and help actualize the objectives of the organization.
Leilani actively participates, locally and nationally, with the American Society for Training and Development. Leilani was graduated with high honors from Rollins College, in Winter Park, Florida with a B.S. in Human Resource Development.
